Amy Wilson, SEE Renewal’s Founder & Principal Consultant, was invited by the Native Learning Center to speak at the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s 6th Annual Renewable Energy & Sustainability Conference held in Hollywood Florida February 6-8, 2024. Amy’s session “Evaluating Human and Institutional Infrastructure to Maximize Energy and Sustaininlity Opporunties” encouraged participants to consider the importance of human and institutional infrastructure when investing in energy and sustainability projects and offered processes for determining the best ways to maximize energy and sustainability funding, technical assistance, and partnership opportunities. To achieve this, Ms. Wilson (1) outlined actionable steps that can be taken in-house to evaluate the human and institutional infrastructure important for tribal energy and sustainability projects, (2) reviewed prioritization and strategy methods for maximizing energy and sustainability opportunities, and (3) discussed key steps needed to plan for prudent management and effective operations in the long-term.
