Amy Wilson, Founder & Principal
SEE Renewal is led by its founder Amy Wilson. Amy has 15 years’ experience in government, land use, energy development, and planning, and 10 years’ experience working exclusively in Indian Country. She has a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado, a Master of Energy and Natural Resources Law degree from the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado State University. Before starting SEE Renewal, she worked for federal, state, and local government and served tribal nations while working under the Office of Indian Energy and Economic Development (IEED) under the Assistant Secretary of Indian Affairs (AS-IA), Department of the Interior (DOI).
Amy has led numerous complex and high-priority projects involving Tribal government, Indian lands, and resources over the years. Her personal work history includes producing a broad range of short and long-term plans, including comprehensive land use plans, energy plans, emergency plans, infrastructure plans, economic development plans, strategic plans, and program plans, and providing advisory and project support services to multiple tribes on issues involving emergency preparedness, infrastructure, zoning, land trespass, and accessing and leveraging funding. Additionally, she has considerable experience researching, reviewing, and drafting policies involving land, energy, and natural resources. Other experience includes managing two Indian energy grant programs while working for the DOI.
As SEE Renewal’s Principal, Amy leads the company and works on a range of projects involving tribal governance, Native American lands, tribal owned resources, tribal economies, and on-reservation communities. Amy is committed to ensuring the company’s products, technical assistance, and advisory services continue to exceed client expectations.
