Fishing & Mariculture Business Plan and Implementation Strategy

The Metlakatla Indian Community, Annette Islands Reserve, has contracted Social Economic Energy & Resource Renewal (d/b/a SEE Renewal) to develop a fishing and mariculture business strategy to address disruption to the Tribe’s economy brought on by reduced processing operations at the Annette Island Packing Company due to end-of-life infrastructure and uncertainty in the market. For this important project, SEE Renewal will provide organizational and business development assistance, conduct fishing and mariculture industry research and market analysis, perform community-level data collection and analysis, and develop a business plan and implementation strategy on behalf of the Tribe to guide future decision-making and justify funding requests.
